The "Top Snow Card" gives you access to ten ski areas with a total of around 215 kilometres of piste and 89 lifts, including Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald and Grainau on the German side and Lermoos, Ehrwald and Berwang in Austria (see ski region).

Berwang, the highest village in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, offers 34 km of piste and 12 lift systems including conveyor belts with the Berwangertal interconnected ski area. Here, the little ones can set off on their own and still stay within sight of the hotel terrace.

The sunny and snow-sure altitude on the Alpine crossing between Zugspitze and Lechtal is overwhelming. The particularly popular Sonnalmbahn lives up to its name and offers not too difficult pistes for wide carving turns.

And so that you can stay in touch with your friends back home during your skiing holiday, the valley stations of the Sonnalmbahn, Egghof Sun Jet and Biliglift offer free Wi-Fi hotspots.

In the village itself there is a small après ski area with a few bars to stop off at. In the evening, numerous restaurants and guest parlours await you with typical local delicacies.

Once a week, night owls can also enjoy themselves on the toboggan run instead of on the dance floor. The piste at Egghof Sun Jet is also floodlit for night skiing. During the day, the 2.4-kilometre-long toboggan run in Lermoos is a little more appealing.

But that's not the end of the off-piste leisure options. On the Berwang natural ice rink, you can skate your laps or compete in Bavarian curling. You can also explore the surrounding area on a total of 60 kilometres of winter hiking trails.
