Ski area Hochzillertal-Hochfügen-Spieljoch

With the "Zillertaler Superskipass," you have the choice between 542 km of piste in the Zillertal Arena, at the Mayrhofen lifts, in the Ski and Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000, the ski area Hochzillertal - Hochfügen - Spieljoch and the Wildkogel-Arena in Bramberg. The ski areas are ideally connected with each other through a free bus and lift system. For some years now the Zillertal Arena offers free Wi-Fi connections in its ski areas! This way, you can directly share your experiences and highlights with your loved ones at home (see ski region).

From Bruck, navigate your way in just a few minutes by car to Fügen, where you can directly enter the "Ski-optimal Hochzillertal-Hochfügen" ski area. Through the connection there between Hochfügen and Hochzillertal, you gain access to approx. 93 km of diverse pistes. Starting from December 2018, the new 10-person gondola, the Windbackexpress, will replace the old 4-person chair lift, the Krössbichl. The new mountain station is also home to the new, exclusive Italian restaurant "Albergo" and is located about 180 m higher, where more runs can be found. The valley station of Ski-Dorados Hochfügen is situated at an altitude of 1,500 m, and is easily reached with the ski bus from Fügen. The Hochtal guarantees winter sports fans snow security until the end of April and is designed for all those who are looking for a ski area with limitless possibilities. The new lifts expose a gorgeous terrain up to an altitude of 2,600 m.

The ski area Spieljoch offers further 21 km of perfectly prepared pistes, accessible via 10 lifts and a magic carpet for beginners and children. Magnificent deep powder snow slopes on the Geolsalm and the 7 km long valley descent right down to Fügen are perfectly suited for even the most experienced rider. As a little taste for the Peak-to-Peak conntection of the ski areas Hochzillertal-Hochfügen and Spieljoch in the winter of 2018/19 an hourly ski bus connection between the Spieljoch valley station in Fügen and Kaltenbach in Hochzillertal has started operating this year.

A special highlight is the night-time ski run on the floodlight pistes in Kaltenbach, which can be experienced once per week. Freestylers can also find the popular Betterpark in the ski area as well.

Après ski Bruck am Ziller (Zillertal)

The apres ski mecca Hochzillertal has just about everything to offer when it comes to ending your day of skiing successfully! Rustic, cosy ski huts and mountain pastures border the pistes and tempt you with lounge chairs and open fires. Especially exclusive are the Kristallhütte and the Wedelhütte. Afterwards, the Postalm and Seetal's umbrella bar, directly at the valley station of Hochzillertal, invite you to enjoy some Jagertee and warm, mulled wine.

Whoever has had enough of skiing and apres ski hustle-and-bustle can find a relaxing alternative programme in and around Bruck am Ziller . Several hiking trails run from the resort to the picturesque mountain world, such as the 2 hour long tour to the Spitzerköpfl (809 m), or the panoramic hiking trail to the Reither Kogel (1,336 m). However, to reach this 2.5 hour long trail, you will need to navigate your way up with the Reither cable car. A less sport-intensive alternative, one which helps you get to know the area a little better, is a ride with the nostalgic Zillertal train. Zillertal is not hard-pressed to offer romance and a stress-free experience. For water lovers, a trip to the adventure-thermal bath of Zillertal near Fügen is worth the visit. From spectacular water slides to spas with sauna landscapes, every family member will find something in the extensive thermal paradise. For the night owls, the neighbouring towns of Schlitters, Strass, and, of course, Fügen, have a large selection of cosy taverns, bars, and pubs.

Snowpark: Snowpark Betterpark Bruck am Ziller (Zillertal)

Especially recommendable is the "Betterpark" in the ski area of Hochzillertal-Hochfügen, of which can be easily reached with the ski bus from Bruck am Ziller. The park is situated immediately next to the 8-person chair lift, "Schnee Express," at an altitude of 2,120 m. You can find 3 lines of various levels of difficulty in the park, from beginners to intermediates to experts. An additional treat is the Jib line at the end of the park, which offers diverse boxes and rails to test out. The biggest highlights, though, are easily the XL-Kicker, which promises viewers from the chair lift an impressive show, and the 100 m long Superpipe, which can be found somewhat below the park at 1,950 m altitude. After a long day of freestyling, or just for a short pause between runs, the Chill Area invites you to linger on their lounge chairs and treat your ears to an appropriate sound system.
