Ski area Muttereralmpark - Mutters/Götzens

Götzens is located directly in the ski area "Muttereralmpark", which is included in the Götzens/Mutters lift pass. With the lift pass you can use the 16 km of piste and 6 lifts below the Pfriemesköfl. The new 8-person gondola "Nockspitzbahn" will take you comfortably from resort to 1,800 m altitude. A sporty red piste leads from Pfriemesköpfl back to Götzens. Alternatively, there are flat, wide pistes for families and beginners, with which you can reach Mutters, and from there ascend back up via the Muttereralm lift.

Cracks can also try out the "Götzner Abfahrt" which was used as reserve track for the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1976. It one of the nicest forest descents in Austria. Several snow cannons ensure that there is no lack of snow! From the Pfriemesköpfel there is a slalom course that attracts professional teams from all over the world to the Muttereralm every year.

The children's and beginners' area is located at 1,620 metres at the mountain station of the Muttereralm lift and is therefore very snow-sure. In addition to the Almboden T-bar lift, which makes an ideal practice slope, the ski school's fairytale forest is the absolute highlight for younger guests. Cosy huts in the ski area and the restaurant at the Muttereralmbahn mountain station invite you to stop for refreshments.

Do you want even more variety? Then the Axamer Lizum and Mutterer Alm combined ticket is just the thing for you! With the lift pass upgrade, you can also use approx. 29 kilometres of pistes and around 10 km of ski routes between 1,560 and 2,340 m altitude in the Axamer Lizum ski area! The Axamer Lizum is a legendary winter sports resort, which became world-famous as the venue for the Alpine skiing competitions of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. Thanks to its excellent location and 136 snow cannons, which can cover 85% of the pistes with snow, snow is guaranteed from December to April. Skiing down to the car park is almost always possible.

Après ski Götzens

Those looking for a sociable and varied holiday are spot on in Götzens! Apres ski fans are offered numerous opportunities for amusing evenings, among other things, with one disco and two bars located at the Mutterer valley station.

In addition to the many party and leisure possibilities in Götzens, Magic Mountain Hotels and Clubs offer you a varied programme. These include snowshoe hikes, tobogganing, bob sledding, ice skating, winter torchlight hikes and ski races with award ceremonies.

The ski area Mutteralm- Mutters/Götzens is also the first ski area in Austria with a permanent slope for the sporting highlight with its Fat- and Snowbike trail. The route leads over the FIS route into the valley. A great experience for all those who don't just want to conquer the slope on skis. For those who prefer to relax in the evening, an excursion to the leisure centre in Axams, where you will find an indoor swimming pool with sauna area, is worthwhile.

If this is not enough, a trip to Innsbruck, only 10 km away, is recommended. In the capital of Tyrol you will find rich culture and entertainment on offer that leaves nothing to be desired.

Snowpark: Snowpark Götzens

The Muttereralm ski area does not have its own snow park. In the Axamer Lizum, however, there is a snowpark pearl of the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck. The Golden Roofpark is located at the exit of the Karleiten lift. Freestyle fans can let off steam here on kickers, boxes and tubes. Both beginners and advanced riders will have fun here.

Of course, there is even more freestyle action on offer in the region: for example in the Nitro Skyline Park on the Seegrube or in the fun park on Rangger Köpfl.
