Ski area Salzstiegl

The ski area Salzstiegl is situated at an altitude of 1,320 m to 1,710 m and especially stands out in regards to family-friendliness. Beginners can try their first swings on the practice area directly at the car park at the Moasterhaus. Upon presentation of a valid lift pass, a free shuttle will take beginners to the Zwergen lift. For more advanced skiers the ski area offers an untouched mogul piste, two difficult parts, as well as a race track. You can go wild on a total of 12 km of pistes.

Moreover, the ski area offers an approx. 12 km cross-country trail prepared in classic style with a marvellous of the pistes of the Salzstiegl lift and the Mur Valley.

Après ski Salzstiegl

To conclude the day you can visit one of the huts or guesthouses of the ski area or the resort, where invigorating Styrian specialities like "Kasnudeln", "Brettjause" and "Rumplernudl" await you. You should also definitely try the cider from the Lavant Valley. This apple wine is popular even beyond the Styrian border!

If you need even more action, you can let some steam off at the toboggan run near the Moasterhaus. The approx. 2 km toboggan run can also be used at night since it is floodlit.

Snowpark Salzstiegl: Snowpark

There is no snow park in the ski area Salzstiegl. The nearest fun park can be found approx 50 km away in the ski area Altes Almhaus. Here the "Rusk Snowpark" offers an exciting medium-sized setup with about a dozen elements spread among a beginner, an advanced and a pro line.
