Après ski Hochfilzen

Apart from skiing, Hochfilzen and the neighbouring resorts have everything in store that makes for a perfect ski holiday. Toboggan fun in Hochfilzen can be enjoyed on "Hoametz", directly in the Pillersee ski area - the approx. 1.5 km toboggan run leads down from Hoametzl hut to Warmingerhof and is illuminated until midnight. Toboggans can be hired at the hut. Various further toboggan runs can also be found in the four other muncipalities in the valley.

The umbrella bar in the Pillersee ski area offers regular parties so that night-owls will also get their money's worth. If you prefer to take it slow, you can enjoy the wonderful mountain scenery on miles and miles of winter hiking paths, or show off your skills when ice skating on frozen lake Pillersee.

Regional specialities are available in numerous restaurants and guest houses which offer Kaiserschmarrn (sugared pancake with raisins), Gröstl (traditional dish with potatoes, beef or pork served in a pan) and Backhendl (breaded, deep fried chicken). In Hochfilzen, the restaurant "Chily", e.g. organised themed evenings, serving Tyrolean home cooking every Tuesday and grilled dishes every Saturday from December onwards.
