Ski area KitzSki
Attractions include the speed, carving and slalom courses, but the absolute highlight is a descent on the steepest race course in the world, the Streif - a must for passionate winter sports enthusiasts! The traditional Hahnenkamm race takes place here every year. The Ganslern slope, one of the last classic-style slalom slopes in the World Cup, is also a popular route. The 3S cable car has created a great ski circus, which enables a ski safari from Kirchberg via Kitzbühel and Jochberg to the Resterhöhe ski arena at Pass Thurn!
The Kitzbühel snow park is a true boarder's paradise: With quarter-pipes, tables, slides and jumps on the Hanglalm, every snowboarder's heart is sure to beat faster. Families will find easy descents on the Gaisberg, Ehrenbachhöhe and Pengelstein. Around the Bichlalm, Pengelstein and Steinbergkogel, there are numerous marked ski routes of all levels of difficulty as well as wonderful deep snow runs away from the pistes.
As a special extra, the ski area offers over 50 free Wi-Fi hotspots for its guests! With just a few easy steps, you can access the network and send your loved ones at home the best pictures of your descents.
For those who love variety, we recommend upgrading to the Super Ski Card (see ski region). This is also valid, for example, in the Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel and Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski areas, Dachstein West ski region or Zell am See - Kaprun. This means you can experience unlimited skiing fun in 23 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg with 946 lift systems on 2,840 kilometres of piste!
Night skiing KitzSki
Unfortunately, night skiing is not possible in the KitzSki ski area. However, night tobogganing or ski touring is possible on the Gaisberg. With a 6-day lift pass, night tobogganing on the Gaisberg is free once per stay. Otherwise, the evening ticket for night tobogganing can be purchased on site. If you need refreshments after or during the night-time tobogganing fun, you can stop off at the Gaisbergstüberl, which is open during the night-time operating hours (Tuesday and Friday).Après ski KitzSki
However, the region has plenty to offer not only for partygoers, but also for quiet nature lovers. The magnificent mountain world can be experienced on hiking trails along the frozen ponds and lakes or on a snowshoe tour across the region's most beautiful slopes. The beautiful winter hiking trails along the Hintersteuerberg and the unique lakeside promenade at Schwarzsee are worthy of special mention. When the ice is thick enough, the lake invites you to go ice skating and not only makes children's eyes light up.
In Mittersill, cosy restaurants and bars invite you to linger and round off the day's skiing. The village also offers cultural experiences such as a small museum quarter or Mittersill Castle. A shopping spree through the numerous shops is also a great way to stroll through the village after the piste.
The 1.5 km floodlit piste on the Gaisberg/Kirchberg is just as much an experience as a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a torch-lit hike through the snow-covered landscape. If you want to relax after a strenuous day on the piste, we recommend a visit to the Aquarena swimming and sauna centre. A cinema centre and a casino round off the region's extensive offerings.
Snowpark KitzSki: Snowpark Hanglalm & Kitzbüheler Horn, Skillpark Jufenbeach
With two parks and a skill park, Kitzbühel scores highly with freestylers. The Horn snowpark awaits on the Kitzbüheler Horn. From beginners to advanced riders, everyone can let off steam here on kickers, rails, boxes and jib elements.
Continue to the snow park at the Hanglalm in the south of the ski area, an absolute crown jewel among the snow parks. Park designer Franz Josef Lechner and his team put all their skill and creativity into maintaining the facility every day to guarantee freestylers top quality and the latest technology at all times. Kickers and rails of all levels of difficulty await in the park, as well as boxes, tubes, jibs and a special. A total of 35 obstacles are available to perfect your skills. To keep up with the times, the shapers come up with a new set-up every season.
The new Jufenbeach Skillpark offers an ideal training ground for all freestyle fans. This includes a parallel slalom, a mogul piste and an airbag jump.
