Ski area SkiHit
Alta Pusteria with its villages Sillian, Kartitsch and Obertillian as well as the two skiing areas of the Lienz Dolomites are mainly characterised by easy to medium difficult pistes and are therefore particularly suitable for beginners and families.
Winter sports fans whose accommodation is in Oberdrauburg can reach the entrance to one of the two local ski areas of Lienz after just about 20 km. The family-friendly ski area impresses with a total of approx. 37 kilometres of pistes at altitudes between 2,108 and 3,122 metres. Beginners and children have the opportunity to learn their first turns on the almost 10 kilometres of blue pistes, while advanced skiers can look forward to 22 kilometres of red and 5 kilometres of black pistes. For the "long-distance skiers" among the winter sports fans, the ski area also offers 5 km of ski routes.
Fantastic powder snow and off-piste possibilities can be found around the Brunnalm, the Lienz Dolomites and in Alta Pusteria. The Mölltaler Gletscher and Ankogel ski areas offer particularly snow-sure terrain and perfectly equipped snow parks for boarders and freestylers.
The 400 m long Funslope in Zettersfeld with no less than 16 different elements such as waves, steep curves and jumps, is especially fun. Snow lovers who want even more variety can simply explore the other ski areas in the ski region.
Night skiing Oberdrauburg
There are no floodlit slopes in the Zettersfeld/Hochstein ski area itself. However, if you don't want to miss out on night skiing, you have the opportunity to ski down the floodlit slopes in the Obertilliach-Golzentipp and Kartitsch ski areas. This is definitely an experience you will remember for a long time. The two ski areas are approx. 50 km away from Oberdrauburg.Après ski Oberdrauburg
In addition to the party in Lienz, there is also plenty to experience directly in Oberdrauburg. Culture lovers, for example, will get their money's worth at the Museum of Archaeology and Settlement History Oberdrauburg or the Museum Vanni's Vogelwelt. Nature lovers can look forward to fantastic hikes and relaxing walks through the wonderful Carinthian landscape in Oberdrauburg and the surrounding area. A hike to the ruins of Hohenburg Castle, which was first mentioned in a document in the 14th century and is considered the town's landmark with its impressive keep, is highly recommended.
A toboggan run is definitely not to be missed on a ski holiday with children. The toboggan run in Kötschach-Mauthen, about 15 km away, is the perfect place. The toboggan run is 1,800 m long and even floodlit at night - an experience that you will certainly not forget in a hurry.
In Lienz, just 20 km away, there are also toboggan runs, such as the year-round toboggan run on the Lienzer Hochstein. In addition, winter holidaymakers in Lienz have the opportunity to enjoy a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh ride or to explore the wintry landscape on a guided llama tour.
Snowpark: Snowpark Oberdrauburg
Freestylers have the opportunity to use the snow park in the Mölltaler Gletscher-Obervellach ski area with the SkiHit lift pass. The "Glacier Funpark" is located below the mountain station at the Glacier Jet. Here, aerial acrobats can practice and present their latest tricks on kickers of different sizes. There is also a fun slope and a boardercross course here.
