Ski area Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau

Thanks to the merger of the Wildschönau and Alpbachtal ski areas with a cable car built in 2012, the "Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau" lift pass offers an incredible 113 kilometres of piste including ski routes. These include the Markbachjoch/Lanerköpfl, Oberau, Schatzberg, Kramsach, Reitherkogel and Wiedersbergerhorn ski areas. The ski area is served by approx. 45 lift systems between 830 and 2,030 metres above sea level. Varied pistes in all levels of difficulty ensure that everyone from beginners to experts will get their money's worth.

Children are in good hands at Bobo's kids' club! The Schatzberg and Reitherkogel are particularly suitable for families and pleasure skiers. Ambitious skiers, on the other hand, will love the descents on the northern slopes of Markbachjoch and Lanerköpfl as well as the various deep powder snow and freeride areas with a total of 16 km of marked ski routes.

The various slopes can be easily reached with the free ski bus. For freestylers, the snowpark on Wiedersberger Horn and the fun park on Schatzberg offer plenty of fun and action.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, the new Hornbahn 2000 cable car was put into operation, taking you to the highest point of the ski area in less than 4 minutes. The Hornbahn 2000 mountain station is also a real highlight: the 360° viewpoint "Top of Alpbachtal" offers unique panoramic views of the Tyrolean mountains.

Sharing the latest photos with your loved ones or meeting up for après ski? No problem in the 20 hotzones spread across the ski area. You can use free Wi-Fi there.

The "Super Ski Card" upgrade (see ski region) offers even more skiing fun: With this lift pass, you can experience unlimited skiing fun in 23 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg with 946 lift systems on around 2,840 kilometres of piste!

Night skiing Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau

If you want to ski at night, the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is one of the best night skiing areas in Austria. On the Reither Kogel in Reith, there are three floodlit pistes with a total length of around 6 kilometres. Twice a week from 18:30 to 21:15, the Reitherkogelbahn, the Nordlift and the Brandachlift are in operation for night skiing. In addition, every Tuesday at the same time, the family descent for ski tourers is floodlit for night skiing. The lifts are then closed. On Wednesdays and Thursdays between 19:30 and 21:00, Oberau in the Wildschönau also offers the opportunity to go night skiing or night tobogganing on two large snow-covered pistes at Roggenboden. Tickets for night skiing in Reith and Roggenboden are available on site.

Après ski Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau

Après ski in the Wildschönau offers something for every type of holidaymaker. Cosy, beautifully situated huts and snack stations in the ski area or in the valley invite you to enjoy a hearty après ski. The "Gruttn Stadl" at the Schatzbergbahn valley station or "Bobo's Heustadl" right next to the Markbachjochbahn valley station are good places to stop for a bite to eat. Also on the Markbachjoch, all winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to the Norderbergalm ski hut. Here you can enjoy hot and cold drinks and regional dishes.

Those who prefer a more contemplative and romantic experience should not miss out on a ride on the adventure train into the "Mysterious Gorge" with a torch-lit hike and mulled wine after dark. Tobogganing fun for the whole family is a ride on one of the Wildschönau toboggan runs or a snowshoe hiking tour through the magical winter landscape of the high valley. In the evening, you can indulge in typical Tyrolean specialities in the numerous restaurants and guest parlours.

For night owls, it's worth making a detour to the bars, pubs and discos late at night, some of which offer live music. The Nightliner will get you safely back to your accommodation after a long and exuberant evening.
