Ski holidays Seeboden - the sporty heart of Lake Millstatt!
Seeboden
Seeboden on Lake Millstätter See consists of several scattered settlements in a direct lakeside location, which have grown and been characterised by tourism. Holidaymakers will find a large selection of accommodation here as well as a wide range of sporting activities from ice skating and ski boot hiking to horse-drawn carriage rides and tobogganing. One toboggan run that is easily accessible from the village is the run at the Pichlhütte. The walk to the hut takes around 1 hour and is rewarded with a 4 km ride down to the village. There are three ice-skating rinks in Seeboden where guests can get their skates on and curling can be enjoyed all year round in the Seeboden sports arena. The winter landscape around the lake invites you to take a walk and will enchant adults and children alike. As an alternative to a horse-drawn carriage ride, children can enjoy pony rides on horseback.Should the weather not invite you to go out, you should try out the "Drautalperle". This aqua park with its 65 m adventure slide, spa area and sauna offers a welcome alternative for the whole family. Or how about a cultural experience? The Activity Castle Porcia shows 20,000 exhibits of the Upper Carinthian popular culture. The "Carinthia Panorama" is definitely worth seeing - it is a walkable aerial photograph at the scale of 1:10,000, that makes visitors visually fly over the region.
Lake Millstatt
Lake Millstatt is situated on 588 m altitude, North of the Drau Valley and near Spittal in Carinthia. With 12 km in length and 1.5 km in width, it is Austria's second largest lake after the Wörthersee. Visitors stay in holiday houses, chalets or hotels all around the lake. Lake Millstatt can be found in a splendid location, in midst of the mountain scenery of the National Park Nockberge and the Millstatt Alps. Skiing, hiking or climbing in front of the marvellous panorama will make your holidays a unique experience.Travel Seeboden
