Ski area Hochzillertal-Hochfügen-Spieljoch

With the "Zillertal Superskipass" you have the choice between 542 kilometres of slopes in the Zillertal Arena, at the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, in the Ski & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000, in the Hochzillertal - Hochfügen - Spieljoch ski area and the Wildkogel Arena in Bramberg. The ski areas are connected in an exemplary manner via a free bus and train shuttle. For some years now, the Zillertal Arena has been offering free Wi-Fi in its ski areas! So you can share the latest experiences and highlights directly with your loved ones at home (see ski region).

From Uderns you can get to Fügen in just a few minutes, where you can enter the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area directly. The connection between Hochfügen and Hochzillertal means that you have approx. 93 km of varied pistes at your disposal there. The valley station of the Hochfügen Ski Dorado is located at 1,500 m above sea level and is easily accessible from Fügen by ski bus. The high valley guarantees winter sports enthusiasts guaranteed snow until the end of April and is ideally suited for anyone looking for a skiing area to suit all requirements. The new lifts open up a wonderful terrain up to 2,378 m above sea level.

The Spieljoch ski area also offers approx. 21 km of excellently groomed slopes, a total of 7 lifts and magic carpets for the first ski steps in the snow. The 7 km long downhill run to Fügen elicits sounds of excitement from connoisseurs. The focus here is on "family and child friendliness" and for all those who are not looking for the absolute "ski highlife" but for safety and relaxed skiing pleasure, these slopes are optimal.

A special highlight is the night skiing on the floodlit slopes in Kaltenbach, which takes place once a week. Freestylers will also find the popular Betterpark in the ski area.

Après ski Uderns

The apres ski mecca Hochzillertal has just about everything to offer when it comes to ending your day of skiing successfully! Rustic, cosy ski huts and mountain pastures border the pistes and tempt you with lounge chairs and open fires. Especially exclusive are the Kristallhütte and the Wedelhütte. Afterwards, the Postalm and Seetal's umbrella bar, directly at the valley station of Hochzillertal, invite you to enjoy some Jagertee and warm, mulled wine.

Whoever has had enough of skiing and apres ski hustle-and-bustle can find a relaxing alternative programme in Uderns. Take part, for example, in a cosy winter walk with an amusing toboggan ride: On the Kupfnerberg in Uderns lies a 3 km long nature toboggan run, which can be reached on foot from the centre. Further, sometimes lit toboggan runs lie in the neighbouring areas of Stumm, am Fügenberg, or in Hochfügen. Near Fügen, guided winter and snowshoe hikes begin as well. In Uderns' village centre, several cafés invite you in for an afternoon chat and relaxing idleness, and in the evening, cosy pubs help round off your day of skiing. For water lovers, a trip to the adventure-thermal bath of Zillertal in Fügen is worth the visit. From spectacular water slides to spas with sauna landscapes, every family member will find something in the extensive thermal paradise.

Snowpark: Snowpark Betterpark Uderns

Especially recommendable is the "Betterpark" in the ski area of Hochzillertal-Hochfügen, of which can be easily reached with the ski bus from Uderns. The park is situated immediately next to the 8-person chair lift, "Schnee Express," at an altitude of 2,120 m. You can find 3 lines of various levels of difficulty in the park, from beginners to intermediates to experts. An additional treat is the Jib line at the end of the park, which offers diverse boxes and rails to test out. The biggest highlights, though, are easily the XL-Kicker, which promises viewers from the chair lift an impressive show, and the 100 m long Superpipe, which can be found somewhat below the park at 1,950 m altitude. After a long day of freestyling, or just for a short pause between runs, the Chill Area invites you to linger on their lounge chairs and treat your ears to an appropriate sound system.
