Ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental
The gondola quickly takes you into the ski area which does not offer many pistes for experienced skiers and the popular Funpark "Big Playground", but also a spacious beginners' area in the valley. Westendorf also has a connection to the opposite side of Brixental via the Kander piste - and form there to the whole ski area. The valley run in particular from the Hohe Salve promises pure fun on the pistes. Night tobogganing along a 3.5-km stretch is another highlight not to be missed out on.
All types of skills will get the most out of their stay here. In Söll, Austria's largest night ski area with approx. 10 piste kilometres awaits beginners as well as professionals. Freeriders can go all out in the "Hopfgarten". Pure joy is provided by 80 eating and drinking facilities along the piste where you can turn in for a break. Children won't miss out either: the "Hexenwelle" with its seesaw, mogul, dark tunnel and much more is a paradise for the little ones. That way they can grow into their ski boots playfully. The Söll ski school also offers age-appropriate lessons as well as childcare for all ages.
If you are going on holiday together with your children, or if in fact you yourself have a thing for fairy-tales, you should definitely check out the new 10-person "discovery"-gondola in SkiWelt Söll. Interesting experiences built around the theme "Hans im Glück" await you!
A special highlight in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental are the two Skimovie runs in Scheffau (piste no. 66) and Söll (piste no. 46). All runs on these pistes are recorded so that anyone who wants to can download their run video in the evening and watch it for themselves or even send it to friends.
If that's not enough skiing fun for you, you can take the Ki-West-slope and a short bus transfer to the neighbouring ski area Kitzbühel. With the Super Ski Card upgrade (s. ski region), you can enjoy skiing even more: this lift pass upgrade gives to access to diverse pistes in 22 ski areas in Tyrol and Salzburg with 939 lifts and 2,815 km of piste!
Night skiing Westendorf
The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers night skiing in three ski areas: in Söll, Brixen and Westendorf. In Westendorf, a 500 m piste awaits night owls at the 4-person chairlift. The practise area is illuminated every Tuesday until 21:00.Even more night skiing is available for night owls in the SkiWelt Söll, the largest night ski area in Austria! Five prepared pistes at a length of altogether 10 km are available until night time from Wednesday to Saturday. The runs on the Hexenwasser gondola lift and the Keat and Hexen6er chairlifts are floodlit until 9.45 pm, while the valley run is floodlit until 10.30 pm. The "Hans im Glück" fun arena on the 10-seater adventure gondola and a night toboggan run are also part of the night-time fun on the slopes. In order to go night skiing in Söll, a separate lift pass has to be acquired in resort.
In addition, the Schusterbühel lift in Brixen has a 300 metre long blue night ski slope, which is illuminated continuously until 19:00 at certain times.
Après ski Westendorf
The restaurants and pubs rather provide a cosy ending to the day and treat the customers to regional and international specialities. A trip to the neighbouring resorts Söll, Ellmau, Kitzbühel and Kirchberg are worth the effort, especially for night owls and shopping fans.
Snowpark: Big Playground Westendorf
Multiple great snow parks are available for you in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. Near Westendorf you will find the "Mini Playground" and the "Big Playground" park. The "Mini Playground" , located near the practice area, offers the mini-cross line and the mini-jib line, made up of waves, banked curves, jib boxes and jumps, particularly suited to beginners and younger freestylers.
Furthermore the "Big Playground", located at the Gampenkogelbahn lift, offers beginners and experts alike plenty of freestyle opportunities. On the easy line beginners can give slide elements a go. The pro line is available for more advanced freestylers and consists of a jump line and a jib line with bonks, boxes and rails. There is also the super-cross line with a snake-run and banked slalom - great fun for beginners as well as more advanced freestylers. There is also a chill-out area in the park. This special freestyle gem is certainly worth a visit.
If that's not enough, there are three more snow parks in the SkiWelt, the "Hans im Glück" ski course, the "Hexenwelle" adventure piste and the "Kaiserpark" near Ellmau.
