Ski area Hinterstoder/Wurzeralm
The World Cup resort Hinterstoder, with its ski area at the Hutter Höss (1,858 m) offers 40 km of excellent pistes for all levels of skill. With the Höss-Express you can easily access the mostly intermediate panorama descents and the tow lifts to the Schafkogel at 2,000 m altitude - the highest point of the ski area. From here, there are only blue pistes accessible, but further down they also run into red slopes. The "Sunny's Kidspark" is the perfect place for the little ones to get their first experience on skis. The smallest ones are well cared for in the "Zwergennest", located at the middle station. The local highlights include "Hannes-Trinkl" World Cup slope, which leads back down into the valley, a speed-tracking piste, the SnowTrail discovery track, a funpark and a challenging ski route. Should fresh snow be rare for a while, 80% of the pistes can be maintained by snow canons. In February 2016, the FIS Ski World Cup in SuperG and the giant slalom race for the men took place on the "Hannes-Trinkl" piste in the sports arena Phyrn-Priel.
No less attractive is the ski area at the Wurzeralm. Europe's fastest gondola transports the winter sports fans to the mountain station at 1,400 m in only 7 minutes. 22 km of piste only wait to be explored here, accessible via 8 lift systems. The highest point in the ski area is the Frauenkar, at 1,870 m. From here, you can enjoy a brilliant panorama view over the surrounding 2,000 metre peaks. A diverse selection of easy and intermediate pistes, sufficient snow canons, two valley runs and the "Sunny Kidspark" for the ski stars of tomorrow, provide for everything any winter sports enthusiast could wish for.
Soon, we'll be back to saying "On your mark, get set, go!" again because the FIS Ski World Cup will be a guest in Hinterstoder. The expected dates for the Super-G and the men's giant slalom are 29/02/2020 and 01/03/2020.

Snowpark: Snowpark Höss Windischgarsten
In the heart of the ski area Hinterstoder am Höss, directly at the Schullift slope and next to the speed-tracking slope, lies one of the most popular funparks in Upper Austria. New and experienced freestylers come together here to shred and jib as they please. Various rails, boxes, wave rides and a double kicker line are available to choose from. Boardercross is also possible here. There is enough space, to also enable both beginners to try out their first moves, as well as give pros the opportunity to show off their skills or present a magnificent duet jump.
