Cross-country Zell am Ziller

Information on cross-country skiing

16 km Cross-country trails (in km):

Cross-country fans will find wonderfully diverse tracks awaiting them in the Zillertal! Zell am Ziller, together with Gerlos, offers approx. 25 km of tracks, including approx. 5 km which are suitable for skating. The "Bräufeld" trail in Zell, for instance, is an easy challenge and therefore ideal for beginners. The 7 km long track on the Gerlos plateau at Krimml (1,640 m) is the highest in the national park Hohe Tauern and very recommendable. Also the Schönachtal-Stinkmoosalm track with 6 km length is popular in the region.

In Zell am Ziller itself you can ski on approx. 16 kilometres of cross-country ski trails. The longest cross-country ski trail in the immediate vicinity of the village is the Museum cross-country ski trail with approx. 4 km. The easy cross-country trail is also suitable for sporty skating on a distance of 1 km.

Another trail that is ideal for beginners is the Bäckenfeld trail. The trail of 600 m is illuminated for you until 9 pm. Of course, beginners can also sign up for cross-country skiing lessons and learn this healthy sport from scratch - it's worth it!
