Cross-country Czech Republic

In the Czech Republic cross-country skiing is one of the most popular sports. So it's no surprise that cross-country fans will find an extended network of snow sure and well prepared trails in the lower mountain ranges. Most tracks have one thing in common: they are all well signed. Many of these trails take you through quiet and snowy woods and over mountain crests with an impressive panoramic view.

All around Harrachov and Spindler's Mill you will find a network of over 100 km of tracks, perfect for beginners and experts. Well-exercised skiers can take the 30 km long "Giant Mountain Ski Trail" from Johannisbad via the crest of the Giant Mountains just above Pec and Spindler's Mill down to Harrachov - a highlight for every Nordic ski sports fan. A further popular route takes the skiers over 25 km, beginning in Medvedín all around Spindler's Mill over the "Goldhöhe" to the high plateau of Plán. Here you can enjoy skiing above the timberline.
