Cross-country Allgäu
The Kalzhofer trail leading through the wonderful landscape on a length of 2 km is especially suitable for beginners. Another easy trail for beginners is the path to Schorenhof, a nicely flat circuit course of 8 km offering a view of the mountains. Approx. 45 km of mainly easy and intermediate trails are available alone in the area surrounding the resort Bad Hindelang.
The resort Füssen is known amongst tourists from all over the world and is one of the top regions for cross-country skiers: here you can find approx. 30 km of trails with various types of route guiding. The Neuschwanstein route is a special highlight: on this flood-lit night trail with a romantic view of Neuschwanstein Castle, everyone can only start dreaming. A second night trail of 1.5 km can be found at the Hornbahn lift valley station. In the whole region you can find tracks prepared for both classic and skating style alike. Experienced cross-country skiers will especially enjoy the trails to the boat port at the lakes Foggensee or Weißensee.
