Altenberg is a very attractive holiday destination for fans of cross-country skiing. Here you will find a total of around 80 kilometres of cross-country ski trails that will take you through the magnificent winter landscape of the Ore Mountains. The trails are preferably of an easy or medium level of difficulty, so that beginners and pleasure skiers in particular will find optimal conditions.
Various trails with a length of approx. 6 km extend from Altenberg into the surrounding area, e.g. to Oberbärenburg, Bärenstein or Hemmschuh. The neighbouring villages also offer a number of other trails, so you are sure to have a good selection to try out a different route every day.
