Ski area Großer Arber

The "Arber" ski area offers you access to 11.5 kilometres of pistes that stretch around one of the highest mountains in the German low mountain range, the Großer Arber. The child-friendly ski area is a paradise for families in particular. Little skiers can take their first steps on skis in peace and quiet in the "ArBär Kinderland". There are conveyor belts, a ski carousel and a flat practice area. Beginners and advanced skiers will also have a lot of fun on the predominantly easy to intermediate slopes. But the pros are also catered for. Thanks to the Arber's excellent snow conditions, World Cup races have been held here for over three decades. The 1 km long World Cup course is a challenge for everyone and lets you conquer more than 340 metres of altitude difference. Snowboarders get their money's worth in the fun park with boxes, rails, kickers and fun waves. While you enjoy the panorama of the Bohemian Forest during the day, another special experience awaits you in the evening with floodlit skiing.

Snowpark: Snowpark Family Cross Park Drachselsried am Großen Arber

Freestylers will also find suitable terrain on the largest and most snow-sure mountain in the Bavarian Forest, the Großer Arber, which offers a wonderful panorama at an impressive height of 1,456 metres. The "family cross park" on the Thurnhof slope guarantees fun and sociable hours, especially for beginners and more advanced riders, as well as an ideal introduction to the freestyle scene. An opening in the fence leads to the entrance area of the park, which is clearly separated from the normal piste.

The obstacles are perfectly tailored to the needs of inexperienced freestylers. From the starting hill, kickers and boxes to children's rails and fun waves, it is a successful and extremely popular change for families who like to try out new things.
