Cross-country Freudenstadt

With over 70 kilometres of trails, Kniebis above Freudenstadt is considered the cross-country skiing Mecca in the Black Forest. 14 groomed trails ranging from 2.3 to 10.6 km in length offer beginners and experienced cross-country skiers ideal opportunities to burn off energy. The "Kienberg trail", a 6.3 km circular tour around the town, offers a beautiful route with a marvellous view over the town. There is even a night trail on the Kniebis. The 2.3 km circuit is floodlit until 22:00.

Thanks to the Northern Black Forest cross-country ski trail, there is a network of cross-country ski trails of around 120 km around Freudenstadt and its districts. The trails lead past Freudenstadt and over the Kniebis, creating a wonderful connection to a huge network of trails over the Black Forest High Road.
