Ski area Garmisch-Classic, Zugspitze

With the "Top Snow Card" you have access to 87 lifts and 214 kilometres of piste between 732 - 2,720 m in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald and the Austrian side of the Tyrolean Zugspitz region (see ski region).

With the "Twin Ticket" you have access to the Classic ski area and the Zugspitze, i.e. a total of 60 km of piste. The ski area is also known for its events such as the FIS World Cup and the annual New Year's Jump.

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen you have direct access to the classic ski area (local mountain, Kreuzeck and Alpspitz/Osterfelderkopf) and the Zugspitze. If you're coming from further away, the Garmisch ski-ticket is an eco-friendly alternative to travelling by car. You can use every regional train on the line from Munich Central Station to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as an environment friendly alternative to driving!

A total of 40 km of pistes and five valley runs that can be covered with artificial snow can be found in these ski areas. A diverse ski area with the famous and very challenging 3.5 km long Kandahar run awaits you at the local mountain. The longest slope in the ski area is the valley run from Osterfelderkopf mountain: it offers a length of 8.8 km and a difference in height of 1,330 m. For the youngest skiers there is a children's area.

The Zugspitze offers 22 km of superbly prepared pistes, as well as a deep-snow El Dorado with free rider zones await you here. The soft ski slopes on the Zugspitzplatt ensure that even less-practised skiers don't have to miss out on snow-sure ski fun on Germany's highest peak.

Après ski Garmisch-Partenkirchen

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen there is no limit to the amount of fun you can have! Various bars, discos, clubs and pubs invite you to a well-deserved apres ski. The rustic huts and snow bars ensure the right atmosphere after skiing. A top meeting point for all snowboarders and skiers is the bar at the "Sonnalpin" directly on the peak of the Zugspitz. In addition, an evening in the casino promises to keep you entertained!

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is also Germany's number one in other winter sports: 110 km of winter hiking trails, various cross-country trails (some floodlit), ice skating opportunities, wave pool as well as the chance to go ballooning and paragliding.

Alternatively, walk through the ravines of the Partnachklamm and experience unique nature there. High fun-factor is guaranteed with the challenging tobbogan run at the local mountain.

Furthermore, the ski area Garmisch-Classic awaits you with plenty events lilke Early Bird Kandahar, K2 grill out, Schneebeben events, ski world cup competitions and Snowdown.
