In total, there are approx. 11.5 km of piste and 7 lifts to use. Both, approx. 4 km long main runs, located on the snow-sure north-face and around lift Kaffeehorst, are especially popular with all guests. On the sun-piste there is even a small funpark available. Beginners and children can try themselves out on the pistes around the ski lift Hasselkopf.

Approx. 80 km from Thale, in the Goslar district Hahnenklee, lies the "ErlebnisBocksBerg". The lift pass "Bocksberg" offers a total of 5 descents with 4.3 km total length. These pistes are especially suited for beginners and families with children, but also pleasure skiers will feel happy here. For the little ones, there is a kiddie's lift with a 200 m long descent, which is perfect for some first swings in the snow. The ski area offers some beautiful pistes with various difficulty levels, as well as a 1.5 km long toboggan run - one of the longest in the Harz and also illuminated in the evenings. Night skiing Thale

In good snow conditions the ski area Braunlage-Wurmberg also offers night-time skiing: Starting directly in Braunlage, the Rathaus lift takes winter sports enthusiasts up the mountain in the darkness - and you can ski down below the starry and moonlit sky for free! Night skiing is only possible on a few days per week. However, it is worth keeping ones' eyes and ears open for spontaneous announcements by the night skiing operator.

Après ski Thale

In Thale, there is a lot to keep you entertained, when you spend time away from the pistes. The Sagenharz is known as one of the most romantic winter hiking areas and the higher located, snowy hills will ensure that you can easily forget your everyday stress and unwind. Over 60 km of well-maintained hiking trails will take you through forests, over mountains and though valleys. The panorama views from the Hexentanzplatz (witches dance square) and the Rosstrappe are especially impressive. Both mountains can be easily accessed via the gondola or chair lift.

Toboggan fans will find great options in Thale and the surrounding area. Visit the toboggan runs at the Klobenberg or in the neighbouring resort Allrode. In Friedrichsbrunn - THE place to be for winter sports fans in Thale - there are even 3 shorter toboggan runs available. Further, there is the ice skating area Bodetal, with its 2,000 m² ice rink available for skaters and hockey players alike. Relaxation can be found in the Bodetal Therme Thale, where you can not only enjoy the pool complex with pool bar, but also make use of the sauna area, the spa area and the health and spa treatment area. Culturally-interested can choose from a selection of interesting museums in Thale - be it the Ski and Local Muesum Friedrichsbrunn, the Walpurgishalle on the Hexentanzplatz, or the interactive museum "Harzeum" on the Rosstrappe. There is even a mountain hut museum and a museum dedicated to the former DDR (Eastern Germany).

After a long day enjoying the fresh winter air, there are numerous restaurants which offer typical local specialities to enjoy. In the evenings, it is recommendable to go and visit the neighbouring resort Braunlage, for some party entertainment.

Snowpark: Snowpark Thale

For skiers and snowboarders there is small freestyle parcours available. Various kickers can be tried out here, ideal for burning off some freestyle steam.
