Ski area Paganella
Not to be missed is the 5 km long Olympic downhill run, which covers 1,075 metres in altitude. Even the Norwegian and US ski teams have set up their European training centre here and have their World and European Cup skiers train for the combined, super-G and giant slalom. The deep snow areas that open up at the summit of the Paganella are also fantastic. Boarders can let off steam in the "Dosson" snow park.
The ski area also offers great variety for families with children. Four practice slopes at different altitudes are designed for little ski beginners. At the Pian Dosson hut at 1,450 metres, for example, there is a children's play park where kids can have fun for free in the play area and on a large bouncy castle and practise their first attempts at skiing on the demarcated practice area with additional inflatable obstacles. At 1,333 m, there is also the Biblioigloo and the Kids Park Gaggia, which offers a mini snowtubing track with colourful tyres on a child-friendly route down into the valley.
The "Combi (5+1)" lift pass is valid for 6 days on all pistes in the Paganella ski area and 1 day in one of the other ski areas of the Skirama, e.g. Folgarida-Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Passo del Tonale, Pejo, Monte Bondone or Folgaria.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Andalo
Italy offers more and more night ski areas, as skiing by night-time is getting and more popular and most ski areas provide at least a small part of their pistes with floodlight. In Andalo, in the ski area Paganella in the Dolomites, guest also have the opportunity to conquer the lifts by night. The Andalo-Doss Pelà gondola extends its opening hours for night-owls twice per week, and night skiers can turn night into day every Thursday and Friday from 19:30 - 22:30. The Cacciatori 1 piste is approx. 3 km long and offers everything a skier's heart desires. The Dosson hut serves food and drink until the late evening.Après ski Andalo
If you'd rather stay sporty, take advantage of Andalo's sport centre, where you can go ice skating on the ice rink for instance. There you will also find the "AuqaIn", a spa and beauty centre with an indoor pool. Guests can relax and enjoy a massage or make use of the sauna and steam baths here.
Snowpark: Snowpark Dosson Andalo
Freestylers can have fun in the "Paganella Snowpark" in the "Paganella Snowpark" ski area. It can be reached via the "Andalo-Doss Pelá" cable car. Obstacles include a picnic table, a jib tank and boxes for different skill levels. There is also a big air bag where you can try out the latest jumps without fear of a bumpy landing.
