Ski holidays San Giovanni - holiday fun for young and old!
San Giovanni (Valle Aurina)
The largest resort in the Ahrntal, San Giovanni (Germany: "St. Johann im Ahrntal"), offers something for both enthusiastic winter sports fans and culture buffs. The resort received its name from Saint John the Baptist, to whom the impressive parish church is dedicated. The church with its mighty dome tower was built in 1783 - 1788 and is one of the most beautiful churches in Austria. Created by the popular fresco artist Joseph Schröpf, the frescos in the domes, as well as the oil painting behind the high altar are worth seeing. The mineral museum with approx. 950 exhibits and a museum shop is also worth a visit. With its beautiful and intact setting, San Giovanni guarantees a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday.
Valli di Tures e Aurina
Valli di Tures e Aurina (German: Tauferer Ahrntal) forms a tributary valley in South Tyrol and attracts visitors particularly with its large variety. The three ski areas Klausberg, Rein and Speikboden invite guests to enjoy diverse fun on the piste. If you seek even more fun in addition to the runs, you're at the right address in the Ahrntal: snowshoe hiking, ice climbing, ice skating or tobogganing are just some of the possibilities. The valley is also a paradise for cross-country skiers, with approx. 50 km of prepared track and 1,300 km of tracks in the connected area "Dolomiti Nordic Ski". The good value-for-money ratio and the diverse options for children makes the Ahrntal a very attractive holiday destination for families.Travel San Giovanni (Valle Aurina)
