Ski area Solda
The ski area in Solda impresses with its snow security from November all the way to the beginning of May on 44 diverse km of piste found on the glacier. 11 lifts bring you up onto the mountain, one of them being the largest cable car systems in the Alps. The 10-person circulating lift, the Rosim Lift, takes you comfortably to the Kanzel ski area. This area next to Langenstein is especially designed for experts. The panorama piste in that area runs over 2.5 km and 650 m altitude down tot he valley station of the chair lift.
Beginners particularly get their money's worth on both practice pistes at the valley station as well as the sunny slope. Freestyle fans can also take part in the action: Next to the funpark at the Madritsch Hut, a permanent boardercross run is available to check out. Deep snow runs are also ready to be tested out at Schöntauf peak.
By the way, parents don't have to worry about their little ones: they'll be taken good care of in the Yeti Club, where they can await a diverse day programme.
For even more variety on the slopes, it's worth taking a trip to the Furcia ski area, about 7 km away. There you will find another 8 kilometres of slopes with 4 lifts.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. Snowpark: Funpark Solda Solda
The snow park in the ski area of Solda lures freestyle fans in with various boxes, rails, and kickers. In addition, not only is a permanent boardercross track in the free terrain near the Madritsch-Hütte available to check out, but there is also a 100 m long half pipe.
