Val di Fiemme (Dolomites)

"The gateway to the Dolomites", as the Val di Fiemme is proudly known as, is an important linchpin for Italian wintersports. It lies imbedded between the Dolomite peaks of the Lagorai, Latemar and Pala mountains. Over 100 km of piste and 43 lifts are open to you with the Val di Fiemme-San Floriano lift pass. Some snow parks offer variety to boarders and to cross-country skiers alike: it has twice been the venue for the nordic-skiing world championship and, furthermore, the traditional Marcialonga race takes place over 70 km every year. Val di Fiemme- the gateway to the Dolomites!The valley with its cosy location distinguishes itself through hospitableness and above all through its enormous selection of sports offerings. Places such as, Cavalese, a lively town with typical Italian flair, Tesero and Predazzo belong to this area. Numerous sports events take place here from year to year, for example the FIS-cross-country skiing race "Marcialonga". It is not in vain that the valley is known as "the birthplace of cross-country skiing"! Other leisure activities are also possible; there are two indoor swimming pools, a large indoor sports centre, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, two natural ice-skating rinks and for those interested in culture even museums and theatres.

Val di Fiemme

Val di Fiemme is an important linchpin for Italian winter sports. It lies nestled between the Dolomite peaks of the Lagorai Chain, Latemar Massif and Pala Massif. The valley, with its cosy resorts, is characterised by its hospitality and, above all, by the enormous selection of sports opportunities. Numerous sports events take place here each year, such as the FIS cross-country run "Marcialonga". The region already hosted three times the Nordic ski world championships. There's a reason the valley is "the cradle of cross-country"!
