Val Gardena (Dolomites)

The Val Gardena lies at the foot of the group of Sella mountains (3,152 m) and Sassolungo (3,181 m), which is one of the most spectacular Alpine mountain sceneries. Winter sport fans of all abilities will have the difficulty choosing from the 176 km of piste, which has a sophisticated ski carousel. The highlight is the 25 km long Sella Runda, which is the most famous ski safari in the Alps. Snowboarders can let off steam in one of the three snow parks and cross-country skiers are provided for in the best possible way with 117 km of cross-country tracks. Those who still feel fit after all that can let themselves get carried away by the atmosphere in the many lodges, bars and discos. Val Gardena - enjoyment at the Sella Runda!

In the surrounding area of Sassolungo, Sella and the Ortles group of mountains lie the three Val Gardenaresorts, St. Ulrich (1,236 m), St. Christina (1,428 m) and Wolkenstein (1536 m). St Ulrich is the biggest resort in the valley and is famous for being the home town of the mountaineer legend Luis Trenker. Here, there is a picturesque centre with a pedestrian zone, as well as, various museums. Wolkenstein is considered the sports resort, whereas St. Christina is deemed more for families. All three resorts have, due to a perfect tourism infrastructure, many leisure facilities, such as shops, cafes, pubs, as well as, very good wine bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the regional delicacies.

Val Gardena

Val Gardena is towered over by one of the most spectacular alpine mountain backdrops. The Sella Massif (3,152 m) and the Langkofel (3,181 m) form the unforgettable Dolomite panorama. Visitors are wowed by sunny valleys and slopes, in addition to steeply sloping cliffs. Val Gardena belongs to the "Dolomiti Superski" network. The lift pass combines 12 ski areas for a total of 1,200 kilometres of piste and guarantees varied fun on the piste.

A highlight is the Sella Ronda, the famous alpine ski safari! Cosy resorts with excellent cuisine and varied leisure time opportunities ensure an unforgettable holiday. Guests with enough stamina after a day of skiing can head out for après ski in the lodges, bars and discos and let themselves be carried away.
