Cross-country Welschnofen

Information on cross-country skiing

6 km Cross-country trails (in km):

There is hardly a more beautiful backdrop to let off steam on the narrow boards and always have the Dolomite peaks such as the Catinaccio or Latemar in view. The Val d'Ega has a network of trails for all ability levels with a total length of almost 100 kilometres, which are groomed for both skating and classic styles. For example, a 5 km trail starts at the Karneid sports centre. From there, cross-country skiers can also reach a beautiful circuit in Steinegg with impressive panoramic views of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park in just a few minutes by car.

There are also 30 km of groomed trails to discover at the Pellegrino Pass and in Tesoro, while there is another 25 km trail in Deutschnofen. There is also a real jewel of Nordic skiing to discover south of the Val d'Ega. There lies the Lavazé Pass, a high plateau with a pass height of 1,808 metres, which has established itself as an ideal cross-country skiing area thanks to its flat terrain. Around 80 kilometres of trails lead over the pass between South Tyrol and Trentino.
