Ski area Jasná
The Chopok (2,024 m) is the second highest peak and Jasná is one of the largest and most popular skiing areas in Slovakia. Easily accessible from the holiday resort Liptovský Mikuláš, it is located in the Demänovská valley, in the national park Lower Tatras. The area offers perfect terrain for alpine skiing with a just under 2.5 km long illuminated piste as well as a snow park with jumps and rails. Due to its 5 free rider zones, Jasnà is also a place for regular challenges and championships.
For the 2016/17 season the ski area was upgraded and a new gondola was built between Krupová and Kosodrevina. 15 winter sport athletes can fit in one gondola.
Night skiing Jasná (Lower Tatras)
The ski area Jasná has night skiing possibilities for young and old. The night ski area is located in the centre of action nearby the ski station Biela pút, in the muncipality om Demänovská Dolina. Here, at the foot of Chopok mountain (2,024 m), the blue piste Biela Pút (No. 13) is illuminated on its whole length of 1 km. The 4-person chairlift Biela Pút Jasná takes you to the start of the tree-lined slope. Night owls can look forward to a piste that is illuminated from 18:00 - 21:00 on a daily basis. An umbrella bar nearby the slope is open during the night skiing opening hours and invites you to stay for a drink. Children do not have to miss out on night-time skiing fun either: the children's area Maxiland Biela Pút in the valley area is also illuminated.Après ski Jasná (Lower Tatras)
Countless underground cave labyrinths are located throughout the area, with the "Cave of Freedom" and "Ice Cafe" being the most spectacular and easily accessible for the public. Further activities are e.g. paragliding, ski fox, snow bike, snow scoot, tobogganing, ice skating or night skiing.
Snowpark: DC Snowpark Jasná (Lower Tatras)
In midst of the national park Low Tatras there is spectacular snow park awaiting its freestyle fans. Four areas cater to all skill levels, no matter if it is first attempts or working on tricky moves. Obstacles for all levels of difficulties are available to use. Since 2015/16 the snowpark offers a new terrain with two natural obstacles that allow for an early start into the freestyle season because the snow park can start operating even in little snow.
Next to the piste "Vrbická 10" there are two lines which comprise various rails, specially set up for more experienced freestylers and guaranteed to let you fly high. If you rather consider yourself a beginner or intermediate, then the third line, mainly offering boxes, is the best place to practise. To round off this perfect selection there is also a 7 m long run packed with jumps, which will push adrenaline high even with the more experienced. It is worth taking a look!
