Ski holidays Adelboden - traditional mountain idyll!
Adelboden
The idyllic mountain village Adelboden is situated in western Bernese Oberland at an altitude of 1,353 m. Tradition is a top priority here, allowing small shops with regional specialities to beat out large supermarkets until this day. All the same, modern amenities lie hidden behind the traditional wooden façades. The first Swiss ski race, the Adelboden world cup race, was held in 1903. If you don't just want to watch, you will find ideal conditions for great runs through picturesque scenery in the Adelboden-Lenk ski region. Adelboden and the surrounding area also offer many opportunities to have fun away from the piste, e.g. a snow shoe hike or a cosy stay in one of the numerous ski lodges and mountain restaurants.
Adelboden-Lenk
The Adelboden-Lenk region is centrally located in the western part of the Bernese Oberland and wins guests over with its hospitable resorts. Guests can spoil their taste buds in the many rustic lodges and restaurants or devote themselves to the large cultural and sports opportunities. Adelboden-Lenk offers one of the largest winter sports area in the Bernese Oberland with approx. 220 km. The area trumps with super pistes and modern lifts. It's no wonder, then, that the winter area is home to traditional FIS world cup races.
