Ski area Corviglia

Switzerland's largest snow sports region, "Engadin St. Moritz" surrounds Pontresina with altogether 326 kilometres of piste incl. ski routes and 53 lift systems. With the lift pass "ENGADIN St. Moritz Mountain Pool" you can explore all of them.

With its two lifts and the children's ski world, the small area Languard right above the resort is ideal for beginners. Those who are drawn to higher places can easily get to the legendary areas of Diavolezza, Coviglia and Corvatsch.

The ski area Coriviglia (incl. Piz Nair and Marguns) is known as one of the most popular winter sports areas. 155 km of diverse pistes and 24 lifts just wait to be explored. If you start skiing early, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama and freshly prepared pistes at sunrise on Piz Nair (3,057 m). Especially the "White Carpet" piste is an absolute must! The 2 km Olympic run is recommended to experienced skiers. The Highspeed Piste Nr. 15 is a special treat for speed junkies. Your time will be presented to you on a large digital display once you passed the finish line.

The more relaxed skiers can look forward to the Paradiso piste in the Suvretta ski area. The piste is a "ChillOut Riding Zone" for everybody who want to take it slow on the piste. Freestylers will find their spot in the Corviglia Snow Park "Crownland".

Night skiing Pontresina (St. Moritz)

In order to enjoy night skiing after the regular opening hours, some ski areas in Switzerland offer pistes that are illuminated for skiing at night time. The longest night skiing piste in Switzerland can be found nearby Pontresina in the ski area Corvatsch. On Fridays from 19:00 until 1:00 at night, the approx. 4.2 km night ski piste is opened for the public during the so called "Snow Night". For your break in between or after night skiing, winter sports fans can stop at Restaurant Murtèl. Tickets for night skiing can be acquired in resort. On all other days of the week, the piste can be booked for private night skiing or by groups, so that you can enjoy night time skiing fun alone or with your family and friends (further information in resort).

Après ski Pontresina (St. Moritz)

Pontresina is less of a party location that a destination for wallowers. Instead of après ski huts, guests will rather take a mulled wine in front of the fireplace in a bar or spend the evening in a piano bar.

The other possibility is to remain sportive: a natural ice rink can be found in the centre and there are two toboggan runs nearby. The most exciting one is located at Muottas Muragl and is 4,2 km long. Lugers will pass 718 metres of altitude and speed through 20 curves. It gets even faster in the area below Lago Bianco: snowkiters will find perfect conditions here. The place nearby the Bernina Pass became established as a top spot in the scene.

Pontresina now also is an important place for climbers, not only in summer. In winter there are huge ice walls in the Pontresina ravine, and experts work on them with water, so that the walls have a perfect ice density. Like this, ice climbers can look forward to a variety of trails.

You can relax at the Bellavita Adventure Pool & Spa. While the little ones can let off steam in the pool landscape with slide, relaxation seekers can have a rest in the sauna, the steam bath or during a soothing massage.

Snowpark: Corviglia Snowpark Crowland Pontresina (St. Moritz)

The Corviglia snow park "Crowland" will leave nothing to be desired! The freestyle paradise can be found right next to the mountain station, and it impresses boarders with class and all sorts of variety, just like the rest of the region. Beginners and advanced boarders can choose between an Easy and a Medium Line with altogether 30 different obstacles.

Kickers with 5 - 10 m long tables, various boxes and rails, as well as wall rides, step ups and rollers are a magnet to venturesome boarders, and are a popular place for competitions amongst the pros in the scene. You can get create from approx. the middle of December to the middle of April!
