Silvaplana
The lively resort of Silvaplana is located in the heart of the Upper Engadine valley and is split into 3 areas, Silvaplana, Champfèr and Surlej. The Corvatsch mountain is one of several 3000 m peaks impressively surrounding the holiday paradise and promises unlimited snow fun with the diverse pistes it has to offer. Besides skiing, the surrounding area is also great for cross-country skiers and snowkiters. Snowkiting was originally started on the frozen Lake Silvaplana and has since been enthusiastically practiced. Silvaplana is characterised by its stylish charm and hotels and restaurants also offer a fresh, young atmosphere.Engadin
The sun-spoilt Engadin Upper Valley lies in the Graubünden canton. The region is separated into Upper Engadine and Lower Engadine, Upper Engadine being really impressive with its gorgeous landscape filled with lakes, forests and breathtaking glaciers. "Piz Bernina" is the only 4,000 m mountain in the eastern Alps. It is very impressive and, along with the majestic Morteratsch glacier, is located in Engadin. The region is not just the fount of "white winter holidays", but also the River Inn. The upper valley astonishes constantly with contrasts, which really distinguishes the famous resort of St. Moritz. St. Moritz is an annual destination for high society. In addition to modern and luxurious architecture, one can find many rustic farms and old Romanesque churches in the rest of Engadin.Travel Silvaplana
