Cross-country St. Moritz

Information on cross-country skiing

230 km Cross-country trails (in km):

The entire ski region around St. Moritz has a trail network of approx. 230 km and offers cross-country skiers a winter sports paradise that meets all demands. A true challenge provides the longest track, whereby a total of 61 km have to be overcome. This trail leads from Maloja via Zuou and S-chanf to Zernez.

A special highlight is the most famous trail in Switzerland - the 42 km long marathon route between Maloja and S-chanf. Every year, on the second Sunday in March, the big cross-country event, the Engading ski marathon which is part taken by more than 1000 cross-country skiers, takes place on that route!

The best views can surely be found on the high-altitude trails. Especially the "Alp Bondo" is to be recommended, streching from 2,093 to 2,200 m altitude and covering a lenth of 8 km. Also the trails at Mania and Silvaplana are recommendable. Those who are reluctant to leave the pistes even after dark, can enjoy themselves on one of the three flood-lit pistes, for instance on the 2 km long nights trail at St. Moritz.

To access the trails you will need the Swiss cross-country trail pass. It costs approx. CHF 10 per day, or about CHF 30 per week.
