Ski area Grimentz - Zinal

With the "Val d'Anniviers" lift pass, you have 195 km of pistes and 15 km of ski routes of all levels of difficulty at your disposal, as well as a total of 46 lifts in the 3 ski areas of Grimentz - Zinal, Vercorin and Saint Luc - Chandolin (see ski region). At altitudes ranging from 1,340 to 3,026 m, winter sports fans will find a wide selection of adventures in the best snow conditions. From ski tours and numerous off-piste possibilities to the ultimate adrenalin kick for heliskiing, everything is possible.

The local ski area "Grimentz - Zinal" stretches from 1,570 m to 2,900 m altitude. Only since the beginning of 2014 have the two ski areas been connected by a 3 km long cable car, making them the third-longest cable car in Switzerland. Since then, the "Grimentz - Zinal" lift pass has provided winter sports fans with 21 lifts and 100 km of perfectly groomed ski slopes. These are divided quite evenly among the different levels of difficulty, so that there is the right slope for every winter sports fan: 27 km blue, 43 km red and 30 km black pistes. There are also 15 km of ski routes as well as a great freeride area.

The off-piste area "Gardes de Bordon" is particularly suitable for experienced freeriders who can enjoy an incredible 100 hectares of untouched powder snow. Wide, natural landscapes and steep slopes provide the ultimate thrill and are unlimited up to avalanche danger level 3.

The "Grimentz - Zinal" ski area also has something for young skiers: a children's ski slope with a wide variety of obstacles and stations turns your child's first attempts at skiing into a fun experience.

Après ski Zinal

A side trip to a cosy bar in Zinal is worthwhile in any case. The wine tavern "Bar e Vox" and the "Franky'z Pub" are particularly suitable for this. In the restaurant "Le Besso", beer lovers will get their money's worth as there is a large selection of beers to choose from. For those who want to plunge directly from the piste onto the dance floor, check out the "La Ferme", or in the neighbouring town of Grimentz, the "Chez Florioz" bar, with its live music, is the place to be.

Snowshoe hikes are a great alternative or supplement to skiing. From easy hikes to demanding hikes - the selection is broad. A special highlight is a visit to the Zinal Glacier. This glacier has several natural cavities, which means it can be entered.

The frozen waterfalls of the Val d'Anniviers are also an impressive natural spectacle - a true paradise for ice climbers. The "Cascade du Belvédère" is located directly in Zinal, which is illuminated at night, therefore allowing for climbing later in the evening.

Another recommendable leisure activity is skating on the natural ice rink in Zinal. Here, admission is free and the rink is illuminated until 9 pm. There is also the occasional ice disco!

Snowpark: Snowpark Grimentz Zinal
