Après ski Auffach

The aprés ski in Wildschönau offers something for every holiday maker. Attractively situated, charming lodges and snack bars located in the ski area or valley invite guests to experience aprés ski fun. A good place to stop by right after skiing is the "Gruttn-Bar" at the Schatzberg gondola valley station or at the "Bobo's-Heustadl Bar" right next to the Markbachjoch gondola valley station. For those who would prefer a more tranquil and romantic setting, there is the slow train "Geheimnisvolle Schlucht" with a torchlit hike and mulled wine just after the evenings onset. Fun for the whole family can be found with a toboggan party at the Wildschönau toboggan run or a snow-shoe hike through the mesmerizing winter landscape of the upper valley. Awaiting you in the evening are countless restaurants and taverns with typical Tirolean specialities. Night owls can spend their later hours in the bars, pubs and discos, which sometimes have live music. With the Nightliner you will be brought safe and sound back to your accommodation after a night of celebration.

Snowpark: Snowpark Family-Park Schatzberg Auffach

The "Ski Juwel Alptachtal Wildschönau" ski area not only offers wonderful pistes, but also has a respectable offer for freestyle opportunities! Pros and beginners can find a snow park at Schatzberg, at the Thalerkogl lift.

Beginners and pleasure riders will find two straight boxes there and also a rainbow box, of each 4 meters length. The 6-metre kicker and wave ride however are also great to try out. Is that too boring for you? There are also more challenging lines for those who are seeking a bit of action: the 8-metre straight-, curved- and kinked boxes let adrenaline junkies' hearts beat faster. To complete the perfect offer there is also a 130 m long half-pipe and a kicker with 14-metre table available in the park.

If you are looking for a real kick, you should definitively go and visit the "race 'n' boarder area" at the Tennladen slope. This place has been the starting point for many a racer's career and this might be the place for challenging a new experience.
