Vernago
Vernago (German: "Vernagt") lies at an altitude of 1,700 m in the upper half of Schnalstal. However, Vernago didn't always take up residence next to a lake. It was first in the 1950s that the 65 m high dam was established, thus creating the lake. This then caused 8 small farms to be swallowed up by the water.
