Vernago
Vernagt am See lies at an altitude of 1,700 metres in the upper part of the Schnals Valley. However, Vernagt has not always been on the lake. It was only in the 1950s that the 65 metre high, green dam was built and the lake was dammed. Eight old farmsteads sank into the water at that time.
