Ski holidays Saanen – experience skiing with tradition!
Saanen
The historical village of Saanen is located at 1,014 m altitude in Bernese Oberland on the border of Canton Vaud. The narrow streets and historical houses in the centre of the village give the resort a special charm. The focus point of the traditional village is the 15th Century Mauritius church. Besides tourism, the main source of income is still today from traditional handicrafts. Just a few minutes away from Saanen is a real ski and snowboard paradise. Various ski areas can be easily reached and offer fun and action as well as comfort and relaxation. There is something for everyone here!Holiday Region Gstaad
Comprising 10 cosy chalet villages, the holiday region Gstaad (945 - 1,320 m altitude) invites you to experience exclusive fun in the snow. Located in the Bernese Oberland, the region is surrounded by the cantons Waadt and Wallis. Standing on the peaks, you will find a spectacular view of 24 fourthousanders opening up in front of you. Let your eyes roam from the Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn and even further. The villages are all very different from each other, with anything from a tranquil mountain village to resorts for the high society being found here. In Gstaad, however, tradition is written big. You can be sure to find only the typical regional architecture in comparison to many newly extended ski resorts.Travel Saanen
