Cross-country Brusson

Cross-country skiing in Aosta Valley has a long tradition. The conditions are ideal, after all: a lot of snow, a lot of sunshine, a dream-like panoramic view and a good infrastructure for fans of Nordic sports. The number one spot is the Nordic Centre Foyer de Fond in Brusson. As starting point for wonderful tours through the valley, the centre comprises - among other services - showers, changing rooms and ski waxing rooms. A competition office is also available, as the centre hosts international competitions. A total of approx. 40 km of cross-country trails at different levels can be found in between Brusson and Estoul. The main trail through the valley runs past the villages Arcésaz, Vollon and Extrepiéraz. Known as the "Trois Villages"-trail, it is very diverse and challenging: among experts, the trail is known as one of the bests in the world. Two circular trails with a length of 5 km and 7.5 km are to be found on the high plateau of Vollon. Both trails are FIS approved.
